Context
The CMM is a planning, coordination, and funding organization that represents 82 municipalities and plays a central role in the sustainable development of Greater Montreal, notably through the PMAD planning tool. With a view to modernization, the CMM mandated Dyade to provide the graphic design, revision, and layout design of the PMAD to ensure it is interactive, modern, and intuitive.
Process
The main challenge was creating a visual design that would transform this lengthy document into a streamlined, user-friendly tool. To this end, we developed a colour palette to standardize the visual presentation of boxes, charts, tables, and figures and make the text easier to read.
The standardized fonts and styles have produced a smooth, professional look that is well-suited to the landscape format, which is ideal for digital viewing.
To enhance the user experience, interactive features have been added, including interactive tables of contents, dynamic buttons and icons, zoomable maps, and URL links to facilitate navigation.
Result
A lively, modern, and dynamic document that makes it easier to explore the future of Greater Montreal. This redesign allows decision-makers, professionals, and partners to navigate the site easily, understand the issues at stake, and familiarize themselves with the PMAD’s guidelines.
